Humble Beginnings

So, I've made my progress known in a small group of friends and set up a discord dedicated to the project. Just to push myself to take it more serious then previous endeavors.

And with the slowish progress (I'm doing this after the day job and with my 8yo son so it's going step by step) I wasn't keen on making it public any time soon. But that kind of changed as I shared the first messages outside of the friend-group. I've only gotten positive comments and that makes me wonder how far I can bring it.

The goal wasn't to release anything publicly before 0.1 , but one of the main things friends said was to keep them posted, some even testing every build I put out. And I too enjoy devlogs, how-to's and watching the progress someone has made working on their game.

That's why I decided to start posting more public now, at version 0.0.2
this is still very early prototype and it's mainly the basics going on so I can build on that.

But wouldn't you know it, imposter syndrome is rearing it's head... so I've had a deep dive into my game collection to see what I love most about this genre. And after some playing and a few hours thinking and reflecting, I think I have the idea for the core gameplay loop I want to aim for. It'll become apparent at 0.1 , but if you follow along there'll be small hints of what you can expect.
